Rushika Fernandopulle, M.D., M.P.P.

Dr. Rushika Fernandopulle

Rushika Fernandopulle is a physician who has spent much of the last ten years involved in efforts to improve the quality of healthcare delivered to patients. He was the first Executive Director of the Harvard Interfaculty Program for Health Systems Improvement, an effort to leverage top faculty from across Harvard University and senior leaders in health care organizations to tackle the largest, most difficult problems facing the health system. As part of this role he was involved in research on many aspects of the U.S. health care system including racial disparities in care, clinical information systems, pay for performance, and the uninsured.

Prior to these positions, Dr. Fernandopulle was Managing Director and Chief Medical Officer of the Consumer Health Initiative, and Managing Director of the Clinical Initiatives Center, both divisions of the Advisory Board Company, a membership based research and consulting firm located in Washington DC. He is active on the faculty of Harvard Medical International, and has clinical, teaching, and consulting experience in a number of countries including the Dominican Republic, Malaysia, South Africa, Russia, Sri Lanka, and Columbia.

Dr. Fernandopulle earned his A.B., M.D., and M.P.P. (Masters in Public Policy) from Harvard University, completed his clinical training at the University of Pennsylvania and the Massachusetts General Hospital, is board certified in internal medicine, and serves on the faculty of Harvard Medical School and as an attending physician at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Pranav Kothari, M.D.

Dr. Pranav Kothari

Pranav Kothari has spent his career in clinical and service process design and business development in health care. Prior to Renaissance Health, Dr. Kothari has been deeply involved in the design and reform of health care and health care systems. He has worked with Harvard University for four years including serving as Senior Advisor to the Harvard Interfaculty Program for Health Systems Improvement, responsible for a number of projects including the Harvard Forums on Health – a series of programs held around the country highlighting innovative solutions to problems facing the health care system.

Prior to that, Dr. Kothari served as Medical Director at the Advisory Board Company, a think tank and consulting firm in Washington, DC that serves a clientele of over 2000 U.S. and international hospitals. He managed initiatives on clinical innovation in several prominent service lines including Cardiology and Oncology. He was involved in the launch of the e-hospital program, a frontier initiative to develop the best consumer health and wellness tools coupled with the smartest implementation within a health system. Dr. Kothari also serves on the Board for Aosta, Inc., a company involved in the management of a hospital and medical college in India and in nurse recruitment in South Asia. Dr. Kothari received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, his medical degree from the University of Michigan, and his clinical training with Georgetown University.
